The Royal Rumble is looking for sponsors!
In order to give every incoming a Royal a chance to participate in the event, the Royal Rumble needs community help. Our goal is to make the program as inexpensive as possible for our freshmen families! Between “Class of...” t-shirts, swag bags full of HSE goodies, mentor t-shirts, supplies, prizes, and food, the annual cost of the Royal Rumble is about $15 per attendee. If we have 800 attendees, that’s a total bill of $12,000 each year! We also like to fill the swag bags with coupons, treasures, and anything else we can find that might pique our kids’ interest and engage them in the school and community. We would love for you or your company to have a role. Truly every little bit counts, and there are lots of wonderful ways to contribute!

What is the Royal Rumble?Since 2015 the Royal Rumble gives incoming freshmen a chance to learn the ins and outs of HSE by socializing with spirited upperclassman to whom they can turn throughout the year; meeting new classmates from all walks of life; talking to members of student clubs; taking home their first official HSE class t-shirt; and shaking hands with Roary, the principal, and the rest of the faculty team!
Led by upperclassman mentors, freshman students get behind-the-scenes building tours complete with tips and tricks on navigating life as an HSE student. Want to know which lunch lines move the fastest? Or where to go when you've lost your student ID? We've got you covered. Three sessions include a guide to school spirit with the pep band, Blue Crew, and cheerleaders to practice the school song and cheers; a welcome to HSE from the building principal and upperclassmen mentors; and an introduction to student life at as a Royal! There will also be resources for getting involved in clubs and activities, a chance to pose questions and get answers from upperclassmen and teachers, and a database of contacts within the building. The hallmark of the event is a pep rally, building excitement entering the new school year as Royals rally around each other under a common blue banner. While the event takes place in person during the week before school starts, some elements of the Royal Rumble are virtual. Students can access this part of the program through their Class of 2028 Canvas page. |

Ms. Emily Pusti
Math isn't her only expertise! While playing frisbee with her puppies is her favorite pastime, Ms. Pusti also coaches softball at HSE. She's pretty creative, too: cooking, drawing, or woodworking! At the Rumble she runs the spirit session and handles the organization's Canvas presence. Reach her at [email protected]. Mrs. Jen Holle
Mrs. Holle in the front office handles much of the logistics and off-season details of the Royal Rumble. Holle-ween is her favorite Holle-day, and when she's not chauffeuring her kids, she's baking, crafting, laughing (mostly at herself), or sleeping. Even though she pretends to be a graphic designer on the daily, she loves to rock that minivan mom life after school! Email her: [email protected]. |
Mrs. Annie Pucillo
Social studies teacher Mrs. Pucillo focuses on donation gathering, mentor training and preparation, and overall event operations, and she really, really loves balloon arches. At home she's an excellent baker, avid runner, and a professional relaxer. She loves to cook for her huge family! Find her at [email protected]. Mrs. Caroline Emerson
The social studies department's Mrs. Emerson runs the spirit session and the pep rally. In addition to being a proud HSE alumna, Mrs. Emerson and her husband love gardening, listening to classic hits, and hanging out at the lake with their puppy Otis! She's something of a local foodie and loves to try new recipes in the kitchen. Grab Mrs. Emerson's ear at [email protected]. Mrs. Morgan Porter
Mrs. Porter from the exceptional learners department brings years of camp counselor experience to the Rumble. She coordinates the experience for our students with accommodations and trains and prepares mentors, giving them all the little tips and tricks needed to lead our baby Royals! Some of her favorite activities include snuggling with her kids and pets, grilling hotdogs, and New Music Fridays on Spotify. Email her at [email protected]. |
Ms. Kelsey Habig
Ms. Habig trains the utility mentors and does lots of behind-the-scenes work at the Rumble. Most importantly, she's in charge of the mentor lunch. Ms. Habig is a total crazy cat lady, a sandwich aficionado, and teaches in both the language arts and communication & media arts departments. She's all Boilermaker! Email: [email protected]. Ms. Kassie Roberts
Ms. Roberts is a freshman guidance counselor during the day and moonlights in the afternoon coaching Royals softball. Ms. Roberts runs the "This is HSE" session at the Rumble and helps with mentor recruitment and training! Catch up with her via email at [email protected]. Ms. Paige Vinson
As the assistant principal in charge of operations, Ms. Vinson's out and about every day literally making HSE a more lovely place to be. Catch her rocking out at concerts, hiking in the rolling foothills, and exploring new places in her down time. Ms. Vinson likely owns too many shoes and has never eaten a McDonald's burger, but at the Rumble she serves as the administration's representative. Reach out to Ms. Vinson at [email protected]. |
